Paph St. Swithin

Paph St. Swithin
Hybrid (philippinense x rothschildianum)

Single pot with multi growths in in, there are currently 4 blooming size and few small plants.
Decided not to split them early this year and just let it be, and my decision was right then, now I am waiting for them to bloom hopefully in another 3 to 4 months time.

Paph Lady Isabel
Hybrid (rothschildianum X stonei)

Another multi-growths in a single pot, I had this for more than a years, it bloomed one in early April 2010, however I did not manage to take picture of them, reason being, I accidentally broke the spike while watering the plants.
So, am waiting for the next bloom! And I must take picture this time!

Paph philippinense

Paph philippinense

I just could not remember when did I purchase that many philippinense, I have 2 big pots with at least 5 or 6 matured plants in them; and I also discovered I have another 5 pots of philippinense in my back-yard, when did I buy them? and from where?
Nevertheless, I am counting on them to bloom soon!

Bought these during the 2008 Singapore Garden Festival with flowers, and repotted them right after the flowers had dropped off. Since then, I had been waiting for the next bloom, but it was not very successful. I did not get to see any bloom for the whole of 2009, was kind of disappointed actually.

In the month of Apr this year (2010), I moved them to new location when I set up new shelves in the backyard. And nearly forgotten about them after placing them at the new place.

Only noticed that something was coming out from the crown sometime in late August (2010), I was very excited when finally confirmed that they were budding!
However, it took a good 2 plus months to bloom! Well, I like them for sure!

Can't wait to see more of them!!

long waited..

Paph helenae is budding..

I waited patiently for the more than a year, and finally helenae is showing little sign of budding. I have to admit that it's not an easy plant to grow in SG. Especially with our hot and humid weather, this little plant might not be able to make it. I did not provide helenae with any of the direct sunlight, but behind the tinted window, and allowing the fan to blow at it from a distance, just wanna keep the plant with enough ventilation. As at this moment, I am still not very confidence that it will flower successfully, pray that it will flower one day!

Paph Fanaticum is budding..

After having the last Fanaticum bloomed in early April this year, this is the 3rd Fanaticum with the flower bud coming out slowly. The plant is relatively small and am surprised to see the bud is coming out! just hope that it will bring me a nice and round flower!

Complete Madness - godefroyae fma leucochilum

After growing them for the last 2 years from flasks, they are now flowering!!! Well, somehow it is a complete madness, why am I saying so? There are actually about 100 of them budding and about 20 of them had started to bloom..
