I like the big dots on the petals and dorsal, somehow, it is very refreshing when looking at it. This is its first bloomed, not too bad. Hope to see a better and rounder flower the next time.

Paph concolor

One of the roundest concolors I have, the first bloomed was good, but this time round, I am surprised to see how fat and round this plants is.

This is the first time micranthum has managed to bloom in my place. There were few buds before but they did not make it to bloom. I move the plants back to office for the last one month just to make sure that they will be able to bloom successfully. There are another 2 more in bud now.

I don't have that many of this, only about 10 of them, this is the first bloomed. Another 4 are on the way!

Hopefully I will be able to see more in the coming years, they are pretty for sure!

A friend of mine gave me 6 of this last year, I wasn't so much into multifloral type of slipper orchids due to the space constrain. 

This is its first bloom, after moving from one corner to the other corner in the house, the spike came out in end Feb, and since then it grew very fast. 

Decided to take a picture of it as early as possible as I don't know how long will this flower last.

Like it or not, this is not an easy plant to start with. Brought in 10 of this paph sometime in Sept 09, plants were rather weak, and I had to place this in the office just to make sure they were alright.

Only started to move them back home at the beginning of the year, and placed them in my study room since then.

They only get to enjoy aircon whenever am working or studying in the room, not frequent, may be once or twice a week.

The spike came out early last month, I was excited but at the same time worried that it might not be able to make it.

And it finally bloomed for the very first time in my study room.

Finally I have a Lalita 'alba'! Noticed that these 'alba's that I have are rather weak, initially I have more than 10 of them in bud, but most of them either did not make it or they were not 'alba' when bloomed.

This particular one is somewhat the best among the rest that bloomed. Not a big flower at all, it's about 2inches across.
