Paph Nathaniel's Passion

Paph Nathaniel's Passion
(Hybrid ameniacum X Enzan Land)

Repotted all of the seedlings, they are about 80 of them. They are relatively young, perhaps another year of so before I could see them flowering!

At The Garden Today

Another long day at the garden before heading to church for mass. Yep, it was a busy day for me, especially when I had to run to a few places before gardening job was done.

Finally I received the Rand's air cone pots!!  And had started using them as well!

Took some pictures today, I just want to share with you what I had discovered in the garden today!

S Gratrix and bellatulum

S Gratrix, coming soon! coming soon! The bud looks rather round, I wonder is the flower going to be as round too?

Off season, but my bellas still want to show off!

exul

Finally another one bloomed too, they are just gorgeous! Deep color with wide opened arms!

Guess what is this? one week later

One week had just passed, the spike had already came out quite a bit. I believe you would have known what is this going to be? Right?

And just a few pots away, another one is showing off its sheath as well, and it's coming out slowly too.

Raining Day In the Garden

Finished up some of the repotting need today, by far, this is the longest time I have spent in the garden, 9 hours, as if I was working in the office!

Well, not too bad, noticed some new flower buds, S. Gratrix, In-Charm Pearl, bellatulum etc..

Should be able to see more flowers towards end of Feb..

Guess what is this?

You wont believe what I saw this afternoon!! it's something that I long wanted to see! Will definitely update this on weekly basis!

Paph exul

2 spikes in the same pot, am just waiting for the next one to bloom soon! Perhaps in another 1 plus week time!

paph Mukoyama Green X Lovely Yard

Finally, a better shape of paph Mukoyama Green X Lovely Yard. I would supposed thanks to the rain, which has made the temperature come down quite a fair bit, thus, this bloomed with better shape.

Another spike is coming out from the same pot, hope to see a even better one!

Paph Bruno (last update for this year)

That is it!! Final count 4 Flowers..

Paph S. Gratrix

Paph S. Gratrix
Hybrid (bellatulum x godefroyae)

The first pix was the first flower bloomed last year, and since then, all of them had been very quiet. No sign of budding, perhaps it's time for me to repot all of them, and hopefully they will bloom soon.

Gosh! I still have plenty to repot!!

Repotted most of my godefroyae fma leucochilum

Spent another 4 hours yesterday just to repot almost 200 pots of godefroyae fma leucochilum, these leucos had been out from flask for about 18months, and I am giving each of them a bigger pot now. I didn't really count how many do I have, there should be more than 200 pots. I still have to report another 50s of them coming sunday! Going to be very busy again next weekend!

Wish that they will be able to bloom soon, since their flowering season is coming!

They look healthy, aren't they?

My exul finally bloomed

Paph exul

After waited for the last one year, it finally bloomed! To me, this has to be one of the most hardy plants among paphs.

A Surprised Guest!

Hybrid (lawrenceanum x Pacific Shamrock)

I was going through some of the paphs I have yesterday and noticed this big flower at the backyard. Immediately took a picture of it, I don't remember I have anymore of this but just this one pot. And I am glad that it bloomed finally after 3 or 4 years.

Kinda interesting flower!

Paph Bruno

Paph Bruno
a very sad update!!

This photo was taken about a week ago(using iphone), when Bruno started to bloom. I was dying to see how beautiful the flower would be when it blooms completely..
And one week later, just when I got my camera ready for the photo taking session; This is what I saw....

Arghhhhh... The pouch was broken!!! I was speechless!! sorry, this is the best picture I can have for my darling!!

This is what I saw this morning, the second had started to bloom!! I must take good care of it! Counting down, another 4 more to bloom! all in the same pot, I can't wait to see all of them to bloom. Hopefully before Chinese New Year!

paph Nathaniel's Summer Breeze

Paph Nathaniel's Summer Breeze
Hybrid (Paph Usuzuki x Paph godefroyae)

Not many brachys are flowering during this period of time, but this little one decided to bloom. Not a big flower, but I like shape and the color of this little one.

Hope to see a bigger flower the next time!

Paph In-Charm Pearl

Paph In-Charm Pearl

Few of my Paph In-Charm Pearl are budding now, the this one bloomed first! the color is great but the shape is errr.. a little deformed!

One of the biggest flower for sure, it measured at approximately 10cm across, and the dorsal is about cm.

Quite an easy paph to grow, I did not really pay much attention to them!

Paph parishii

Paph parishii

This is the first time parishii bloomed at my place, another one is blooming soon too. From spiking till blooming took more than 2 months, but worth the wait. The first pot with 3 flowers, and the second pot has 4 flowers.

Due to the lack of experience myself, I put the plants at the location where it received afternoon sun, and as a result, 2 of the leaves turned yellow.

parishii prefers deep shades and good air circulation, I learned my lesson well, and now I place all of them at the backyard where it's bright enough and yet will not burn the leaves.
