  1. Ahhhh...gorgeous!! I was looking for pics of a certain paph and I stumbled across your blog! LOVE IT!! I'm a total orchid NUT.

I was excited because, after over a year of waiting, my Heron's Faire was in bud...it had two buds on it and was going to be beautiful! My husband and I went away for the weekend, and he turned off the air conditioning before we left. I didn't really think anything of it at the time, but when I got back and rushed over to my plant to see the buds' progress, I was crushed to see the inflorescence had turned brown, and the lower halves of the buds had also turned.

I just about cried. I'm pretty sure it got too hot in the house and the buds blasted. So bummed! So now I'm desperate to buy a new paph to scratch my itch for a blooming one!

And so my orchid collection grows!

You orchids are beautiful! Look at all those lovely little seedlings! Congratulations on being so successful...you're living my dream...hehe!!

    Have a lovely week!
    Smiles, Jenn

  2. Hi Jenn,

Thanks for visiting my blog, growing slipper orchids had been my favorite for the last many years.

Don't give up, there are many nice slipper orchids around, just need to be a little more patient, am sure they will bring you beautiful flowers as a nice reward.

I do have some died due to whatever reason, but that does not stop me from growing them. in fact, it's a joy to be able to see them flowering.

    Don
