disappointing stonei

Paph stonei
Kinda disappointing to see this. Well, firstly, bloomed at wrong season, it's hot and dry now. secondly, the seed pods are under developed. thirdly, only 2 flowers. forth, not the first bloomed!!! Argh!!! The first bloomed was with 4 flowers and they were so much better than this time! Have to wait for another year lo...

  2. hi..

so far, all my paphs are grown without air con, they can grow well for sure. However, to see them bloom is a little tricky. So Far, vejvatutianum is able to spike and bloom without much problem. I guess it's very much depending on the season, vejvarutianum bloomed last year around this time, and this year with 5 spikes coming.

stonei, parishii require a little bit of cold spell, they usually bloom at the beginning of the year after monsoon season in SG.

as for dayanum, just need to handle with care, this species does not require lot of light, same goes for parishii. dayanum usually bloom in august or so.

as long you don't expose them to direct sunlight, you should be able to grow them very well.

    thanks
