Best Display: Muriel Constance
I brought a few pots of Paphs for OSSEA that day and it was difficult for me to bring Muriel Constance due to the weight of my other Paphs. Fortunately during the last minute a friend came along and we all packed the Paphs into the car and went ahead to enter this plant for the competition. This Muriel Constance suffered a slight trauma when it was budding and hence the form was not as perfect as I’ve hoped for in comparison to other Paphs that I brought to OSSEA. To our pleasant surprise, the wine glass display has attracted many positive feedbacks and eventually won the Best Display prize.
***Editor's note: Don’s got a gift for creating many aesthetically pretty objects from their original state and on the hindsight perhaps it was the right decision to put Muriel Constance in the wine glass for it has enhanced the beauty of the Paph.
